The gas alarm uses superior Japanese technology which senses all types of gas leaks; LPG (Butane and Propane) as well as natural gas. The potential for fire outbreak in the kitchen is relatively high when compared to other spaces in the flat as a result of the presence of naked flames (Gas cooker). This electronic gas leakage alarm comes with a rechargeable plug that includes 12v Lithium back-up battery incases of power failure. One electronic gas leakage alarm is recommended for all kitchens

CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS


Carbon monoxide poisoning kills. The biggest source of carbon-monoxide (CO) in Nigeria are generators; commonly seen as the practice of using generators in enclosed or poorly ventilated rooms. Other minor sources are exhaust pipes blocked with debris therefore resulting in thick black smoke, and gas appliances. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause headaches, dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, confusion, and disorientation.

Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless, tasteless, and toxic gas that is emitted as a result of incompletely burnt carbon-based fuels; which is why it is good to install CO detectors which warn you when dangerous levels of gas accumulate, and alert you before tragedy strikes

FIRE BLANKET


Fire blankets are suitable for use in a variety of different environments both industrial and domestic such as the offices, restaurants, stores, and kitchens. Fire blankets consist of a woven fibreglass fire resistant fabric (Asbestos free) and can be used for putting out flames that start from cooking or clothing fires. Best place for location of fire blankets is in the kitchen or cooking area. They are used for suppressing incipient fires, by covering the fire with a fire blanket therefore starving the fire of oxygen, and can also be used for wrapping round a person whose clothing is on fire. These are highly recommended for all kitchens. Special treatment gives these blankets a higher temperature resistance of up to 550°C/1022°F. These heat resistant fire blankets should be located in the vicinity of the fire hazard they are to be used on, but in a position that can be safely accessed in the event of a fire, such as the kitchen exit.
